What does AQA A-Level Biology (7402) cover on Markaroo?
All three papers and all eight specification topics, 3.1 to 3.8, from biological molecules and cells through to the control of gene expression, plus practical and maths skills. The topic tree follows the AQA 7402 specification, so you can revise topic by topic or work through whole past papers.
How is AQA A-Level Biology assessed?
Three written exams, each 2 hours. Paper 1 covers topics 1 to 4 and Paper 2 covers topics 5 to 8; each is worth 91 marks and 35% of the A-Level. Paper 3 can test any topic, including practical skills, and is worth 78 marks and 30%: 38 marks of structured questions including practical techniques, 15 marks of critical analysis of experimental data, and a 25-mark essay chosen from two titles.
What kinds of question can I practise?
The questions from 27 AQA past papers: Papers 1, 2 and 3 for nine exam series from 2017 to 2025, 906 questions in all. That includes short and long answer questions, the extended response questions on Paper 1, the comprehension question on Paper 2, the practical and data analysis questions on Paper 3, and the 25-mark essay.
