The submissions list
Open an assignment and go to Submissions. For each student you can see their status, when they handed in (late work is flagged), the AI mark, your mark if you have changed it, and whether it has been released.
Reading a script
Open a submission to see the student’s answer next to the AI marking. For handwritten work you see the photos and the text read from them. Handwriting can be misread, so check the text against the photos. You can also download the answer as a PDF.
- Thinking process: the grader’s reasoning. It is never shown to the student.
- Feedback: what the student gets — their level and mark, what went well, even better if, strengths in detail, examiner’s notes, skills performance, why this mark, and an examiner tip.
Edit, then release
Change any mark or comment, add your own note, then release it to the student. You can also send it back for a redraft. Once results are released, changing a mark updates what the student sees. You can print the feedback or copy it from the submissions list.
Marks are drafts until you release them. If you mostly leave the AI marks as they are, the Insights tab shows how closely your marks track the AI’s.
If a script could not be marked, use Retry marking to send it to the AI again. The student still sees “Submitted” and is never shown an error.
